A Wholesaler and retailer of automotive replacement parts are currently looking to employ a Deputy Branch Manager to start immediately, or as soon as possible, at their branch in Durban.
CANDIDATES MUST COME FROM AFTERMARKET PARTS OR OEM (ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER) MARKET INDUSTRY, OTHERWISE CV WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
MUST HAVE GOOD PRODUCT CODE KNOWLEDGE (THIS WILL BE VERY ADVANTAGEOUS)
Job Purpose
As the Deputy Branch Manager for, your primary responsibility is to assist in the efficient operation
of the branch, overseeing day-to-day activities and contributing to the achievement of sales targets
and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in managing staff, optimising inventory, and
ensuring the overall success of the branch
Requirements:
Grade 12
Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in a leadership role within the automotive aftermarket parts industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong Staff Management
Strong Sales Management
Ability and willingness to travel within and out of South Africa
Own Transport
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Sales Management:
Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and implement sales strategies to achieve
revenue and profit goals.
Assist in managing customer relationships and addressing their needs promptly
Staff Supervision:
Support the hiring, training, and development of branch staff.
Provide guidance and motivation to the sales and support teams, ensuring a positive
working environment
Inventory Control:
Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock turnover rates and
coordinating with the procurement team.
Implement inventory management best practices to minimize stockouts and overstock
situations.
Customer Service:
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and
maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
Monitor and enhance customer service processes to meet or exceed customer expectations
Operational Efficiency:
Contribute to the efficient operation of the branch by optimizing workflow processes and
recommending improvements.
Oversee daily operations, including order processing, shipping, and receiving
Financial Management:
Assist in budget planning and management to achieve financial targets.
Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
Market Analysis:
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Provide insights to the Branch Manager to support strategic decision-making
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols
Reporting:
Generate regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
Present findings and recommendations to the Branch Manager and senior management as
needed
Training and Development:
Facilitate training sessions for staff on product knowledge, customer service, and sales
techniques.
Encourage continuous learning and skill development within the team
