Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop the The Company brands footprint and sales in the market through growing sales within the agreed area / segment.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives
• Develop and propose a client focused strategy, set your own targets in conjunction with your direct supervisor, growing direct business opportunities and business through distributors.
• Prospect on your own and involving the rest of the The Company team in order to maximize business results
• Communicate in all transparency and curtesy with customers, employees, and others to answer questions, address complaints, or explain information when needed.
• Maintain system, with customer information
• Liaise with customers for stock control and logistics issues when required.
• Represent the company during trade shows, dog shows and seminars when necessary.
• Maintain a deep understanding of The Company's product lines, including the benefits and features of each.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional activities and campaigns.
Requirements
• The candidates must be based in Johannesburg imperatively, and have their own vehicle (car) for transport and hold valid driver's license. Ideally located between Randburg and Germiston.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the pet food, FMCG, or related industries.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• The candidate must have experience in the petfood industry, or pet industry, ideally in the same type of position.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Matric is a must, marketing degree or diploma will be seen as a plus
• The candidate must present fluent spoken and written English skills, and must be able to work with MS office and be computer literate.
