A Wholesaler and retailer of automotive replacement parts are currently looking to employ a Warehouse Supervisor/2nd in Charge (2IC) to start immediately, or as soon as possible, at their branch in Pretoria West.
CANDIDATES MUST COME FROM AFTERMARKET PARTS OR OEM (ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER) MARKET INDUSTRY, OTHERWISE CV WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
MUST HAVE GOOD PRODUCT CODE KNOWLEDGE (THIS WILL BE VERY ADVANTAGEOUS)
Job Purpose:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the warehouse,
ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Your role involves managing a
team, optimising workflows, and maintaining effective communication internal departments. The
Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in inventory control, order fulfilment, and overall
warehouse performance.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or a similar role.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Own Transport
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Leadership and Team Management:
Supervise warehouse staff, including training, and performance management.
Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, motivation, and accountability.
Foster staff discipline and enhance productivity levels.
Demonstrate self-discipline, punctuality, honesty, integrity, and teamwork.
Ensure the safekeeping and efficient utilization of company resources.
Uphold good housekeeping practices within the warehouse environment.
Operational Planning and Execution:
Execute efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize workflow.
Coordinate daily activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Maintain and regularly inspect all store equipment for optimal functionality.
Enforce safety protocols, procedures, and company policies among staff.
Report damages and maintenance needs of delivery vehicles promptly.
Inventory Management:
Supervise inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking, stock rotation, and minimizing discrepancies.
Monitor and manage stock levels to meet customer demand.
Ensure accurate signing and filing of all receiving documents.
Supervise the binning process to ensure timely and accurate placement of goods.
Coordinate with procurement and sales teams upon completion of binning activities.
Ensure goods are packed and stored in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular cycle counts and train pickers on alphanumeric codes and case lot quantities.
Ensure adherence to Return for Credit (RFC) processes as per company policies.
Safeguard against stock loss or shrinkage through effective management practices
Order Fulfilment:
Coordinate with sales and other departments to prioritise and fulfil customer orders on time.
Monitor order accuracy and address any discrepancies promptly.
Checking, dispatch, and delivery processes to enhance customer service.
Communicate effectively with sales personnel regarding delivery matters.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the warehouse.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure proper maintenance and utilisation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts etc.
Arrange for repairs and replacements when necessary.
Quality Control:
Supervise quality control procedures to maintain high standards for products leaving the warehouse.
Investigate and address any quality issues promptly.
Customer Service:
Work closely with customer service teams to address inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
Strive to improve customer satisfaction through efficient order processing and timely deliveries.
