Electrical Technician – Solar Systems Location: Klerksdorp
Overview A well established engineering and solar solutions company in Klerksdorp is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with solid experience in solar installations, maintenance, and fault finding. This role is ideal for a technically strong, hands on individual who can work independently and deliver high quality workmanship.
Minimum Requirements
• N4–N6 Electrical Engineering and/or Electrician Trade Certificate (Section 13 or 26D)
• 2–5 years proven experience working specifically with solar PV systems (installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting)
• Strong understanding of inverters, batteries, wiring, DB boards, protection devices, and system safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and solar system designs
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
• Install, commission, and maintain residential and commercial solar PV systems
• Perform electrical fault finding, repairs, and system upgrades
• Ensure compliance with SANS electrical standards and company quality procedures
• Conduct site assessments and provide technical feedback
• Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery
